up a data set determines the level of information contained
in that data set
- Display and summarize data through the
best use of graphs and frequency distributions
- Choose, construct and interpret summarization
procedures for quantitative data, including grouped and
bivariate quantitative data
- Derive and interpret a data set’s
central tendency, variation and standard deviation
- Find the mean, variance and standard
deviation of a binomial distribution, use it to determine
probabilities and see how it may be approximated using the
Poisson distribution
- Find the mean, variance and standard
deviation of a normal distribution and use it to calculate
probabilities
